Individual therapy
Therapy that meets you where you’re at and helps you get where you want to be.
Our first session (the intake appointment) is about getting to know each other, your history, what's brought you in, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. From there, we build a plan together, drawing on whichever approaches fit your specific situation. Sessions are collaborative, paced to you, and always confidential. All sessions are 50 minutes in length unless otherwise discussed.
Who I work with
I see both adults and adolescents, and I especially appreciate working with clients navigating:
❁ Sexual concerns and relationships
❁ PTSD, trauma, and stress-related injuries, including mountain trauma specific to outdoor athletes and adventurers
❁ Anxiety
❁ Survivors of abuse
❁ Grief and loss
❁ Gender identity
❁ Stress management
❁ Life transitions (career changes, relationship shifts, becoming a parent, aging, and more)
Treatment approaches
Every person who walks into my office is different, so I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities and tailor the mix to what you need.
❁ Gestalt Therapy: an approach focused on helping you become more self-aware, authentic, and present.
❁ EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): a structured approach that helps the brain reprocess traumatic or distressing memories so they lose their emotional charge, rather than staying stuck on replay.
❁ Internal Family Systems (IFS): a compassionate way of exploring the different "parts" of yourself so you can understand them instead of fighting them.
❁ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): a practical, skills-based approach that helps you notice the links between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and build new patterns that serve you better.
❁ Mindfulness-Based Approaches: grounding and present-moment awareness practices that help you notice thoughts and sensations without judgment, building a calmer, more regulated relationship with your inner experience.
